Lennon began to sketch and draw as a child, earning entry into the Liverpool College of Art at 17, where he studied for three years. That never happened, given Lennon’s death in 1980 and Harrison’s in 2001, but Glaser thinks fans will be heartened to see the creative personalities of these influential artists together once again.Īll four members were creative entities long before they ever picked up an instrument. ![]() This penultimate convergence for fans would have been a musical reunion after the Beatles disbanded. It’s the first show in the gallery’s new space on Greenwich Avenue, and the first time these works by all four of the Beatles have been together in a show. This work has led him to Greenwich, where he is presenting signed works by three Beatles: McCartney, Starr and John Lennon, and a set of George Harrison song illustrations by British musician Keith West that are signed by Harrison. He presents work by famous artists, as well as celebrities who happen to be talented artists. For more than 20 years, Glaser has run ArtCelebs, an art publishing company, and exhibiting and auction gallery that grew out of his private collection he gathered to decorate his former Litchfield home. He also is the distributor of fine art lithographs signed by Paul McCartney, the proceeds of which go to charities. The gallery will also showcase several hand signed artworks by Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison.Īll works are available to purchase with 100% of Ringo’s proceeds going to the Lotus Foundation.To work with one Beatle would be a feat, but Glaser has had the fortune to work with two.
